The Philosophy of Washington University Clinical Associates - Northwest Pediatrics
Washington University Clinical Associates - Northwest Pediatrics is a practice dedicated to the care of children at every stage of their growth from birth through adolescence. We collaborate with the Pediatric Hospitalist Physicians or Neonatologists who care for your baby in the hospital regarding any medical issues or concerns, and see your baby for their first appointment in the office within a day or two of leaving the hospital. With the support of the premier hospitals and specialists in the St. Louis area, we pride ourselves in providing excellent care for kids when they are sick and remain involved with their care if they are ever admitted to the hospital as a result of illness. Above all, we strive to provide a medical home for each child, teaching healthy choices that will last a lifetime.

Our Doctors, Nurses and Staff
Our practice consists of board-certified pediatricians and nurse practitioners. Pediatric nurse practitioners are registered nurses who have received extensive education in pediatrics. This enables them to administer well-child care and to manage common childhood illnesses. The staff nurses who answer your phone calls, check your child in for office visits, and administer vaccinations all have experience in a variety of pediatric and OB settings. All of our physicians enjoy teaching medical students and pediatric residents, and you may have the opportunity to participate in this process occasionally when you meet a physician in training from St. Louis Children’s Hospital or other area programs in our office.

Kevin Murphy, MD
Kevin MurphyMy name is Kevin John Joseph Murphy. I have had the pleasure of working with children for my entire medical career. It is very important to me that we teach them respect for themselves and others with a drive towards contentment in the life choices they make. With this in mind my approach in the office is holistic and based on anticipation of developmental and health issues. At all times the child is the center of the discussion and is encouraged to bring and ask questions about their own health. Each child is a gift to our world.

My interests center on my wife Rene, our nine children and tending to our century old home and its garden. Alabama football has a hold on my attention in the fall.
